Founder | Bamboo Melody Raagas

Rakesh Sudhir is an Indian classical Flutist, Vocalist, Composer, Educator, and Sound Engineer from Mysuru, Karnataka. He is the disciple of the veteran and renowned flautist, VIDWAN KARNATAKA KALASHREE LATE SRI A. V. PRAKASH. He is trained in Indian Carnatic Classical Vocal and Violin under VIDUSHI RAJALAKSHMI NARASHIMHAMURTHY & VIDWAN H K NARASHIMURTHY for over 12 years.

An AIR-graded artist and founder of Bamboo Melody Raagas and Aikyam Samgita Studio, he has performed at prestigious music festivals and sabhas across India while actively mentoring the next generation of musicians through education, concerts, workshops, and cultural initiatives.

A musician shaped by discipline, tradition, and soulful artistry, carrying forward the timeless essence of Indian classical flute through performance, education, and composition. Deeply rooted in the traditions of Indian classical music, his artistic journey reflects a harmonious blend of discipline, devotion, creativity, and technical mastery.

Recognized for his soulful expression and refined artistry, Rakesh Sudhir has carved out a distinct identity in the field of Indian classical flute music through his performances, educational initiatives, studio productions, and cultural endeavors, which continue to inspire audiences and aspiring musicians alike.

His musical foundation was shaped under the guidance of the veteran and renowned flautist Karnataka Kalashree, Late Vid. Sri A. V. Prakash, whose legacy continues to influence his artistic philosophy. Presently carrying forward the rich legacy of Guru-Shishya Parampara with sincerity and dedication.

In addition to flute training, he underwent over 12 years of intensive Carnatic classical vocal training under Vidushi Rajalakshmi Narasimhamurthy, which greatly enriched his understanding of raga bhava, shruti, lyrical interpretation, and compositional depth. This strong vocal foundation adds a unique melodic sensitivity to his flute performances.

As a performer, Rakesh Sudhir is known for his versatility in presenting both Carnatic classical flute and Hindustani-style bansuri artistry, especially through expressive bass bamboo flute renditions. His performances are admired for their emotional depth, tonal richness, meditative quality, and technical finesse.

Rakesh Sudhir has composed Music, Background Score & SFX for Shortfilms – “KAPPU HAMSA”, a Home Production of “AIkya Samgita,” formerly known as “Studio Swaramadhura & “NANDINI” which has received several awards to its credibility and widely appreciated by audience and Critics at various National & International Film Festivals.

Among his notable artistic works is the music production and composition for the short film Kappu Hamsa, produced under “AIkya Samgita,” formerly known as “Studio Swaramadhura in association with Cinephilia. The project received official selections and multiple recognitions at film festivals during 2023–2024.

He also conceptualized and conducted the three-series flute duet concert presentation titled Sri Krishnaarpanam with his students during 2024–2025 & “Sangeetha Sanskruthi Samarpanam” in 2025, reflecting his commitment toward collaborative learning and stage exposure for emerging artists. 

During the COVID period, he composed and produced a socially conscious musical work aimed at spreading public awareness and encouraging safety measures through the emotional language of music.

He has also served as a flutist for the popular television music reality program ZEE Kannada Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, expanding his musical presence into mainstream performance platforms.

Beyond concerts, Rakesh Sudhir is deeply passionate about music education and artistic mentorship. Through Bamboo Melody Raagas, he mentors students in Indian classical flute, nurturing not only technical proficiency but also emotional connection, discipline, and artistic identity. His teaching philosophy emphasizes the spiritual and transformative power of music while preserving the authenticity of Indian classical traditions.

He is also the founder of the digital audio production space “AIkya Samgita,” formerly known as “Studio Swaramadhura,” a creative recording studio dedicated to music production, devotional compositions, dance albums, live recordings, and independent artistic collaborations. Through the studio, he has produced and engineered numerous acclaimed projects appreciated by musicians, dancers, and cultural audiences.

Ashwini Murali is a versatile artist, painter, trained Bharatanatyam dancer, vocalist, and dubbing voice-over artist whose artistic journey is deeply rooted in Indian classical culture and creative expression. With years of training in Bharatanatyam, Carnatic music, visual arts, and performance disciplines, she brings grace, creativity, emotional depth, and artistic sensitivity into every aspect of her teaching.

As an integral part of the exclusive artist couple Rakesh & Ashwini, she passionately focuses on nurturing the next generation of young musicians and performers through music, rhythm, expression, stage confidence, and cultural values. Her multidisciplinary artistic background allows students to experience a holistic approach to learning where music is blended with creativity, discipline, emotion, and performance refinement.

Through personalized mentoring and soulful guidance, Ashwini inspires children and aspiring artists to discover their individuality, build confidence, and grow into expressive performers while staying connected to the richness of Indian classical heritage and arts.

In 2025, he organized flute and konnakol workshops aimed at promoting rhythm awareness, improvisation, and classical appreciation among young learners. He also organized Sangeetha Sanskriti Samarpanam, a cultural initiative dedicated to celebrating Carnatic music and encouraging emerging youth musicians.

Continuing his commitment toward preserving India’s musical heritage, he organized Purandara and Tyagaraja Aaradhana celebrations in 2026, bringing together musicians, students, and rasikas in a shared space of devotion and artistry.
